Samantha Morgan

I have studied the ‘cello since the age of nine.  I studied my first degree in Music at University in Oxford and attained an MA in Sound Design at Bournemouth Media School.

I was taught by, Marianne Gottfeldt and Joan Dickson.  I have had masterclasses with Christopher Bunting and Hassan Moataz (Lead cellist of the Cairo Symphony Orchestra).

I was employed for Saturday morning music school by Oxfordshire Music Service where I taught theory, conducted Orchestras and coached sectionals. 


Since 1992 I have been a member of staff at the Oxford ‘cello School where I have taught students from the age of 6 to adult, beginners, to Grade 8.  I have arranged several works for the Oxford Cello School ‘cello orchestra.

I enjoy teaching both individuals and group sessions.  I prepare students for Associated Board  practical and theory exams. In addition to this I teach Electroacoustic Composition, which was my specialist subject at University
